Our task today was to create a poster explaining what Narwhals are and some facts about it. Narwhals are a small toothed whale that can be found in deep waters and their scientific name is monodon monoceros. 1 fact I learnt about Narwhals is that they only eat fishes, shrimps, squids, and many other sea animals. Did you know that Narwhals are 940 kgs?

Our task today was to complete this word search and create our own. Unfortunately the link did not work for me. The word search had words relating to the beach and the sea, some words were placed diagonal, horizontal, vertical and upside down. What I found challenging was some words were hard to read because it was upside down.

Our activity today was to create a origami fish. Something I learnt while doing this activity is that the most famous origami is the Orizuru which represents a crane. My favourite part doing this task was seeing the final product and folding the sides.

Our first activity for the Summer Learning Journey was to create a warning poster about the stonefish. Did you know that Stonefish are known to be the most venomous fish in the world and that they are very fast at catching its prey? While creating this poster, I found out that Stonefish are able to attack its prey in 0.015 seconds.

For this activity I needed to write a reason why one of the shapes don’t belong there. For the first slide I think the bottom left shape doesn’t belong because it is the only shape that is pink. The top left shape doesn’t belong because it is the only 4 sided shape coloured in blue. The top right shape doesn’t belong because it is the only shape that is three sided. The bottom right shape doesn’t belong because it is the only shape not coloured in.

For the third task of the Summer Learning Journey I needed to create a bookmark using contrast. The first bookmark says Jesus because I believe that he is my Lord and Saviour. For this bookmark I used red and green because it is almost Christmas and I wanted to make it Christmas themed. The second bookmark says solo because I focus the best when I am alone. I wanted to make this spider-man themed so I used red, blue and black.

I enjoyed this task because it got me in the Christmas spirit.

For the first task of the Summer Learning Journey, we created a comic strip using our creativity, imaginenation, and the template and characters provided in this task. Me and my partner Lisea wanted to send a message to our audience which is to take care of our environment, we can do this by picking up rubbish and putting in the bin.

Our story is about a young girl wandering around the beach and she sees many things such as boys playing vollleyball, girls building sand castles and many more. As she was walking along the shore she hears people saying “free food”. Her curiousty got the better of her so she went towards the sound. She found that people were giving out free food to anyone which was a good deed, but there was a problem. The people hosting the free food event left a whole lot of rubbish which Mary picked up and made the beach beautiful and clean.

We found this task interesting and fun because we used our creativity, imaginenation, and our ideas.
